THE PRICE OF LOVE IS $1000

All you need to create your own AI wife is $1000 of computing credits on AWS.

At least, that's what DIY programmer, Bryce, did to create his own virtual waifu.

We're getting "Her" vibes...

Luckily for you all looking to get cuffed this winter, he explained create your own "ChatGPT-Chan"

1/ Give your virtual waifu a lore and personality traits so that you can roleplay

2/ Use an AI-image generator to create a base visual layout

3/ Create auto-sender for prompts to AI-image generator based on ChatGPT dialogue

4/ Send ChatGPT responses to text-to-speech (TTS) tool such as Microsoft Azure's neural TTS to create an audio response in a given voice style

And voila, your new AI waifu is here to stay!

Bryce has apparently used ChatGPT-Chan to help him learn and practice Chinese so there are compelling use-cases for creating your own. 😏

STEEPED MEMES

Looking for web developer with 1 year of experience with ChatGPT even though it's only been released to the public for 3 months.

It also pays less than most developer jobs even though it's a hot commodity skill.

RYAN REYNOLDS IS A MARKETING GENIUS

Back in 2019, the 46-year-old Canadian Brad Pitt purchased between 20-25% of Mint Mobile, hedging his ~$150M net worth for when his movies flop.

(Mint Mobile is a mobile telecoms company providing low-cost mobile plans to unlocked phones starting at $15 / month.)

Like any capable business owner would, he's finding ways to optimize his company.

The video above shows how he created the ad with ChatGPT for Mint Mobile and what his criterion was.

But let's face it, if this wasn't Ryan Reynolds, very few people would watch the video.

The ad's not bad, nor the idea to use ChatGPT, but come on... it's Ryan Reynolds – the royal flush of marketing.

According to David Glickman, founder of Mint Mobile: "Ryan is a genius when it comes to guerrilla marketing and promotions."

His highlight reel is hilarious:

  • Took a non-existent marketing budget for Deadpool and turned it into the highest-grossing R-rated movie in 2016 ($782.6M USD against $58M budget)

  • Sold Aviation American Gin to Diageo for $610M after 3 years

  • Sold his Ad Agency, Maximum Effort Marketing, to MNTN in 2021

  • This past summer Maximum Effort Productions, his production company signed a multiyear deal with FuboTV to create sports docuseries.

And the cherry on top? The wifey – Blake Lively, is also worth ~$30M.

CLICKBAIT AT ITS FINEST - CODEWORD HIRES WORLD'S FIRST 'AI INTERNS'

When it comes to "internships" at Codeword, don't expect to see Aiden and Aiko fetching coffee or running errands.

They're basically two avatars created with AI-generated tools used as a personality to demonstrate the capabilities of generative AI.

Similar to AI influencer, Miquela, these two artificial personalities are a way of recreating a similar online presence to humans.

Although, Miquela was backed by a $125M startup and was acquired by Dapper Labs. And Aiden and Aiko are simply a by-product of Lensa, Midjourney, DALL-E, or Stable Diffusion.

The truth is, any company can now "hire" AI interns and let them take on some of the more tedious tasks. And why not?

After all, knowing how to use generative AI will soon be as essential as knowing how to use Excel.

Just ask any old-school programmer - they'll tell you, they've been trying to kill Excel for years, but it's one of the best pieces of software out there.

So, let's welcome Aiden and Aiko to the team, and embrace the future of generative AI.

Sure, it may not replace human intelligence or creativity yet, but it can perform content-fill edits on photoshop.

That's it for today folks! Ta-ta till tomorrow, your boy Ty hitting chest PRs at the gym.
